The 2006 Babe Ruth Baseball Season was to kick off on Saturday April 8th.

The season started with slop, as all 6 teams are in action on Saturday but were rained out.

At 1:00pm on Sunday the season finally got underway as the Lions Club was defeated by Home Aid 13-3

At 4:00pm, Ed & Sons took on the 2005 Champs - Happy Hour and found themselves on the short end of and 8-0 final.

The 25 Club opposes Inglesby-Givnish at 5:30pm on Friday April 14th, to complete the make-up of the Opening Day schedule..

This marks the first time in over 40 years, that the season has kicked off without lights on the field. The project to install new stadium lighting on the field has been delayed. The new poles have now arrived and are in the process of being installed.
